As it is being said that Bollywood only worships the rising sun. No Matter how talented you are, you would be dumped at a time when you are not needed. The Bollywood is a an opportunistic industry, who dumped the pure gold –RD Burman aka Pancham, in 80’s  in a frenzy and Maniac indignation to Disco. In other words Pancham lost to Bappi Lahiri and the new entrants of the music industry. Despite giving the best of the music in 80’s for Sagar and Ijjazat,Pancham was dumped . For Ijjajat ,Gulzar Sahab and Asha Bhosle got the national awards. But that was not enough. He was ev

The genius behind the melancholic director- Guru Dutt

Yeh kooche yeh neelam-ghar dilkashi ke  Ye lutte hue karvaan zindagi ke  Kahan hai kahan hai muhafiz khudi ke yahaan peer bhi aa chuke hain jawaan bhi   tanomand bete bhi, ha ha abbaa miyaan bhi (also the lusty sons, even their father!)    The song from reflects the cynical and gloomy side of Guru Dutt, the greatest intellectual, philosopher, whose movies have left an indelible imprint on the movie lovers globally. Many books have been written on him. Guru Dutt saw the film making as a medium to reflect the crude realities of life. Guru Dutt movies are philosophical. He is the only filmmaker from India, whose films and directions are hailed by the global media, press, critics, film makers, Magazines and journals equally. His name is written in golden words in Times Magazine, Sight & sound and IMDB. In this piece from the Sight  &  Sound archive, Mark Cousins highlights “one of the great, brooding figures in post-Independence Indian cinema”: an actor-director who broug

The Good, Bad and the Ugly - Mahesh Bhatt

A man of many facets- Mahesh Bhatt who is an extra ordinary filmmaker known for the outstanding movies like Saransh, Daddy, Naam, Swayam,Ashiqui, Awargi, Dil Hai Ki manta Nahin, Sadak , Sir, and Zakhm. He is one of the most successful directors and producers of modern times. Not only he has produced and directed the great movies but have also launched the careers of Many actors Including veteran actor Anupam Kher,Ashutosh Rana, Sonali Bendre, Rahul Roy, Anu Agarwal, Atul Agnihotri, Manoj Vajapayee, Aftab Shivdasani , Kangna Ranaut , Shiney Ahuja etc. Perhaps the art of his great film making, is wrapped up in lot of traits, which reflects his uglier side. Incredible talent, polluted by bad character is a poison that dehydrates the world of positive virtues, and craving for it makes you more vulnerable. It's easier to maintain a good character than to recover it when it's gone bad!” I am not casting aspersions on his character. But his life is full of controversies no matte

Why you should not rely too much on Google

Image
Why you should not rely too much on Google search for the opinion or the facts. The fact is ,the information reflecting mostly on Google search, is provided by substandard and low-grade material, which gets crawled as top rankings  on websites. The reason is quite obvious. There are tools like search engine optimization  (SEO). Using Keywords, semantics keyword research and much to get the second-rated information ranked on top of the Google search pages. In other words technology beats and trounces the quality. It is Gadgets, Google and SEO, which is being used, or rather abused by the website owners. My apprehensions are not unfounded and there is a reason to believe so. Let’s discuss. Please find below the points mentioned, as a reason that Google search engine is not a gospel truth while relying on facts or opinions.   <script data-ad-client="ca-pub-7207669018564714" async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script

Women are considered a commodity- a sex object, which is meant to conciliate the lust of perverted men. The use of women in advertisement and in item songs to sell the product is rampant. Filmmakers and advertisers use the sex imagery featuring sexual content in selling a product which has no relationship with the product. There was a

Bold actresses of Bollywood who broke the jinx

In a paradigm shift from conventional cinema to modern cinema, following are the actresses who have completely changed the art of film-making . I am not referring to the vulgar and cheap movies where the actress has exposed for the commercial success of the movie with no content but  I am referring to movies and the actresses which have acted as per the audacious script which reflect the social evils and the problems of a young adult. The films give a perspective to hail the real subjects which were considered as a taboo. ·            Lashmi ·           Zeenat Aman ·           Simi Garewal ·           Mandakini ·           Rekha ·           Sharmila Tagore ·           Devika Rani ·           Dimple Kapadia   Lashmi: The real Name of Lakshmi was  Yaragudipadi Venkata Mahalakshmi  : Lakshmi played a bold role in Julie in  the movie “ Julie” in 1975.
